Miller Heiman, “The Sales Performance Company” has posted an interesting and useful article to help you make the most of your extra day this February 29th.
“In celebration of leap year, spend February 29 to catch up on something that frequently gets put off or forgotten the other 365 days of the year.”

While this article is targeted to the sales professional, you can tailor the recommendations to your own situation. Whether you’re in sales or not, use this leap year bonus day wisely!
If you’re in the midst of a job search, why not do some of these things?
- Make an extra 10-50 calls to prospective employers.
- Spend an hour expanding your list of target companies.
- Research the key pain points of several target companies and develop a brief outline of how you could help them address these issues.
- Pass on a few job leads to someone in your network.
- Find and send several current articles that would be relevant to some of your contacts to keep the relationship warm. Something a little obscure (i.e. not on the front page of The Wall Street Journal or CNN) works best. You’ll want to send them something they might not have already read.
To your success,
David B. Wright
